If You Want to a Hole Dug, Dig It. Don’t Pray for It to Appear.

Prayer doesn’t work.

Nothing has ever been accomplished with prayer. Prayer doesn’t work.

For example, dig a hole.

If you need to dig a hole, buy a shovel and dig it. If you pray for the hole to appear, even if you have 5,000 prayer warriors all decked out in their Sunday best, you will fail. No matter how sincere and holy, no matter how right they feel with their god, no hole will appear. Even if every single Christian in the entire world were to pray simultaneously for the hole to appear, the ground would remain flat and unmoved. If every Christian believer in the world prayed for five years without pause for a hole, even a small hole, prayer would still fail. Prayer can’t even make a tiny hole. Prayer does not work.

If you want anything done at all, get up and do it. Prayer does not work. Praying for something to happen is wishful thinking at best and irresponsible at worst.
